To My Readers...

Updated: Jul 24, 2019

Hi all!

I know I have been MIA for awhile but it is for good reason. Over the past several months I have been working hard on putting together a hair care book. Hair care has been a personal passion of mine, as I was someone who grew up with no clue how to take care of my hair. I spent 95% of my life before age 28 in some sort of braids or weave and honestly never thought that I would have hair "beautiful" enough to wear out on its own. Unfortunately, this is a sad belief shared by many women across the world, especially women of color.

When I became a dermatologist, women would approach me as the skin, hair and nails "expert" but I honestly had no idea on the best practices for hair care.  I spent the next several years researching all of the science behind hair care so I could be a better physician to my patients and through that came the "Fundamentals of Ethnic Hair Care" a textbook, designed to teach other physicians how to counsel their patients. I was so proud of that book but knew that textbooks were too expensive to be available to the group of women who needed to read it most.

I wanted to have something for my patients that was easy to read and affordable for my patients and that's how 90 Days to Beautiful Hair was born! I have poured a lot of sweat into making this book for all women, whether their hair is straight, curly or kinky, who have longed to figure out the best products for their hair. This past few months I have put my own recommendations to use and my hair is now the longest and healthiest it has ever been. I hope that this book will bring you as much satisfaction as it has brought me.
